July 14 - 18, 2014
This summer camp week focused on learning about what it takes to be a working artist or designer! We had daily field trips to the park in the Hongyun Art Bus for outdoor fun with our counselors and camp leaders. Yummy lunches were provided for us each day! We also got to play with Mindy - a super friendly dog and the Hongyun Art mascot!
We also had a field trip to the Stanford Art and Architecture Department where we got a behind the scenes tour of the classrooms, met real college students and sat in on their class, toured the Stanford Art Library, and even met a real Stanford professor who showed us how their photo darkroom developed photos on film!
The end of the week concluded with a private tour of Whole Foods Market here we sampled lots of delicious organic foods and learned about organic produce. We also drew fresh fruits, vegetables, and plants as well as made our own fruit and yogurt parfaits as a treat!
Best summer camp ever!!
Hongyun Art Summer Camps in Cupertino, CA are small group, project-based experiences. We have very low ratios with a maximum of 8 students per counselor. We create, play, and have fun every day!
