Patrick Z (Age 14, Red Cloud) won the 2018 PTA Reflections for Cupertino High School!

Patrick recently received his Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his work teaching project based learning to students and teachers in Myanmar.

Audrey C. (Age 16, Red Cloud) was selected as the city’s Emerging Artist of 2018! This award encompasses rising artists from high school through adults age 35. Audrey wins the $750 prize and will have her artwork displayed in the library and city hall over the next 6 months.

Cupertino’s Fine Arts Commission let us know that Audrey was clearly the winner not only because of her awesome artwork, but also because of how she uses her skills to help others.

• Audrey was one of the very first students who traveled to Myanmar in 2017 with the Hongyun Art Foundation to train teachers about project-based learning.

• Audrey is the Director of Outreach of the Hongyun Art Foundation and leads the Sunnyview Senior Center Art Project which takes Hongyun Art TAs and has them teach art and crafts to the residents of Sunnyview.
