August 4 - 8, 2014
This summer camp week was all about FOOD!!! We had daily field trips to the park in the Hongyun Art Bus for outdoor fun with our counselors and camp leaders. Yummy lunches were provided for us each day! We also got to play with Mindy - a super friendly dog and the Hongyun Art mascot!
We also had a field trip to Boudin Sourdough Bread Company in San Francisco where we learned about the history of San Francisco during the gold rush and Boudin's role throughout San Francisco history. We also watched sourdough bread getting made, sampled LOTS of sourdough bread, and of course had a lunch of delicious food made with sourdough bread!
The end of the week concluded with a private tour of Whole Foods Market where we sampled lots of delicious organic foods and learned about organic produce. We also drew fresh fruits, vegetables, and plants as well as made our own fruit and yogurt parfaits as a treat!
Best summer camp ever!!
