Hongyun Suriwong - The Artist
Hongyun has trained in traditional and modern styles of painting for over 20 years in China and at UC Berkeley. Her artwork is not only about creating the image, but also about experiencing the confident, graceful movements of her brush flying across the canvas. She calls it "Kung Fu Art" and believes her natural artistic abilities has been passed to her from her grandfather, a master Chinese brush artist. Hongyun moved to America in 2002 and continued her work as an artist creating portraits for her friends and family.
